WITH THE WILD ANIMALS AT RWAKOBO ROCK

WITH THE WILD ANIMALS AT RWAKOBO ROCK

There are several game parks in Uganda but this time, it was the Western part of Uganda a place called Rwakobo Rock which is beautiful space where many tourists come to, while visiting Lake Mburo National Park.
The first thing to welcome us were the zebras and next were the cattle. This was enough to show that we were in the land of milk, meat and honey.

The first thing to receive the moment we arrived at the reception, was well blended passion fruit juice to welcome us from the long Kampala via Mbarara journey and also to relax us. The drinking water is all you need to believe that "water is life". It is ever cool.

Later we looked at the Bandas beautifully designed using the available resources like tress, ropes and others.

Inside there is so relaxing that our hearts were at rest as we enjoyed the fresh air together with the bird sounds. Did I mention that inside is a toilet, couch, and huge tree bed and shower space with hot watered boiled by the solar system connected to each Banda? Now you know.

It is true that if you haven’t traveled, you continue thinking that your mother or partner is the best cook. The food at Rwakobo is that which you would love eating leaving your heart yearning for more and more. We enjoyed our lunch that afternoon as we stared at the Uganda Kob and a few monkeys.

Now that the eating was done, we decided to view ourselves through the camera’s lens as we wrote our History with photography from great scenery, with huge rocks, tress and animals around. We missed to see the python and I am very sure that it also missed us. We also watched the sunset and how great the clouds looked.

At night, the tales of hunting seem not to be weak and neither does anyone wait for the day the lion shall learn to speak as everyone has a story to share. All this happens either during the dinner or at the Bonfire that is set up every evening.

The best part is waking up in the morning to the sounds of the early birds and animal sounds as well. Watching the sun set on top of the huge rocks is another experience not to miss out on if you are thinking of visiting Rwakobo Rock.

There is a lot on the breakfast menu that is to say; fruits, milk, dry tea, coffee, chocolate, pea nut butter, butter, home baked bread, eggs, cereal, and many more. You can’t fail to find what to eat before you start another great day. This is also a great time to connect with other people.

For those that are interested in camping, there is a camping space. All you need is to come through with your camping gear, pay your camping fees, not forgetting to carry money for your meals as you need to pay for those separately.

There is also Wi-Fi so in case you have work to do.
